Ghosts of Baltimore update 1

Death of Poe Haunted Mystery Weekend

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”

A man is found dead in a graveyard. No this not a joke. He was murdered at the Westminster Burying Grounds and found at the grave of none other than Edgar Allan Poe!

The great American poet Edgar Allan Poe died under mysterious circumstances in 1849. The man died only a few days prier. A locket and additional items found on his person. The man was a Poe historian and possibly more!

“The Locket is haunted” the man said in a letter. “It was once owned by Mrs. Sarah Elmira Royster Shelton. She was Poe’s fiancée at the time of his death, and childhood sweetheart.”

“Haunted,” you ask?

They said it can act as a portal, and those that have been in its presence alone have claimed to hear voices, words of unearthly spirits vocalizing. Lenore……

Some say it can even reveal the mystery of Poe’s death!
